Although employers talk a lot about how important their talents are for them, they are, via their managers, still often repeating the same mistakes which make the talents leaving. Forbes.com therefore published "ten reasons" each manager should remind. These are the most common causes of your talents' departures - management errors good leaders do not make.

  1. You are not able to encourage their enthusiasm to work for you.

  2. You are not able to offer sufficient intellectual challenges and thus your people are bored.

  3. You are not able to give them enough space for creativity.

  4. Can are not able to develop their skills sufficiently.

  5. You are not able to give them sufficient space to express their own opinions and ideas.

  6. You are not able to show them your human interest, you think they work just for money.

  7. You are not able to lead and to admit that you are not a good leader.

  8. You are not able to show recognition for their work.

  9. You are not able to offer them greater responsibility.
