If we want to be successful, we must learn to cooperate with others and to work in a group. Although some people have reached success by themselves and there are also many of those who have succeeded even though they can't work in a team, do not get inspired by these people. If we first learn to work in a team, we are well prepared to become a successful leader. The key is to know what a team needs. That is, at least, the opinion of Deepak Chopra, world famous physician and writer, who recently published an article on LinkedIn on the topic of successful group leadership.

Deepak Chopra is an Indian-born American physician and author. He is one of the world's leading authorities in the field of healthy lifestyle and personal development. He has written more than 80 books that have been translated into 43 languages, with more than 20 million copies published. Many of the books have become New York Times bestsellers in both fiction and non-fiction. Deepak Chopra also speaks at many conferences. Last year he gave a speech in Prague for the first time. According to him, success in a leadership role, requires the following steps.

1. Be optimistic

All groups of people need hope. Support your team and show your people that tomorrow will be better than today.

2. Develop a sense of working together

Every group needs inspiration. The sense of purpose and usefulness is more important than money or promotions.

3. Win trust

Your team needs a trusted leader who is not only interested in his own career.

4. Protect your team

Address any threats immediately. Make decisions to serve, if possible, the whole group.

5. Praise accomplishments

Healthy competition in a team requires new challenges. Praise accomplishments in order to motivate your team to succeed in the future.

6. Be prepared to listen

Encourage creativity by allowing everyone to come up with their ideas.

7. Monitor the mood of the team

Your task is to continuously improve the morale of your team. Openly and honestly alert everyone, including yourself, whose behavior undermines the morale of others.
