Use introversion to your advantage

But they are often all the better at listening and talking to people on an individual level. The ability to listen and engage with subordinates on an individual basis is an invaluable skill for any manager. Use these skills to your advantage and show that you can effectively build mutual trust with your staff.
Remember that many successful managers are introverted
Elon Musk, Bill Gates and many other successful managers and entrepreneurs are introverts. They achieved their success through diligence, hard work and making the most of their strengths. So do not be discouraged and remember that in many ways introverts rule the world.
Be a link between people and learn to resolve conflicts
Introverts often come across as a calm force, able to listen to different sides of a conflict. Conflict resolution is another quality that is absolutely crucial for managers. Learn to be a facilitator, build bridges between people, and learn how to facilitate conflict resolution between colleagues and subordinates.
Become an expert in your field
If you become an expert on a particular subject, it does not matter whether you are an introvert or an extrovert. People will notice that you understand what you are talking about and will listen to you. One way to become a respected manager, therefore, is to deepen your expertise in a given field and become an expert in that area.
