Want to achieve higher goals successfully? Try the KASH method

It is widely understood that goals should be ambitious (yet realistic), measurable and time-bound. But once you have set these goals, either for yourself or for your team, how can you maximise the likelihood of achieving them? One possible approach is to use a method known by the acronym KASH.

As described on Addicted2Success.com, the term KASH is derived from four key questions you should ask yourself in order to understand better what is required to reach your defined objectives.

Knowledge

First, ask yourself what knowledge you need to achieve your goal. What data and information is required to make your objective attainable? Only once you are equipped with such essential knowledge can you begin working toward the goal in a structured and meaningful way.

Attitude

What mindset or approach is required? You may have several options in terms of strategies or processes that could help you reach your goal. Identify these approaches and select the one that is most advantageous and efficient in your specific context.

Skills

Which skills are indispensable? It may be necessary to attend a training course, supplement your education, or seek advice from an expert or experienced mentor. Determine which skills are missing and take steps to acquire them.

Habits

Achieving a significant goal often requires sustained effort and consistent daily actions. Break down the path to your goal into manageable, everyday tasks and establish these as regular routines that you will commit to following.
