Remember to take a break
Seemingly hard-working people go hours without a break; however, they thus only decrease their efficiency of work and end up doing less than if they did take regular breaks.
Eat quality food and drink enough water
Ignoring meals, or even liquid intake, on account of work not only decreases the efficiency of work done but also puts your health at risk.
Make sure you are not guilty of "procrastination by work"
Some people are working all the time but in reality do mostly routine, non-systematic and non-urgent tasks. Officially that is working, but the fact is that it is more a kind of procrastination through working.
Rise early, but only if you are a morning person
Many professional texts suggest getting up early as the way towards effective work. However, if you really are not an early bird, you might do more harm than good by adopting this "habit".
Delegate work
Focus more on cooperation, team work and delegation of tasks to your team, and stop trying to do everything on your own.
Forget about multitasking
As the Brian Tracy blog states, the ability to focus on multiple things at once is a myth. It is more like skipping from one thing to another. It is better to focus fully on just one task at any given moment.
Do not be a perfectionist
If you spend too much time on details, you lose a sense of perspective. Learn to stick to priorities and not to waste time on unimportant things.
