There are never enough  ideas on how to make your presentation remarkable. If you can make it entertaining and different, your will pull in your audience 's full attention. If you are about to deliver an important presentation, try to start with a powerful icebreaker, use personal photos and think about adding some acting skills to the speech. All these tips are recommended by the presentationmagazine.com website.

Convenient ice breaker

Silhouettes are a great, fun ice breaker, especially for internal meetings. Try to create a silhouette of someone who is known or will be present. In a photo editor you can create it easily and quickly. Edit a photo – trace the contours of the face and fill the shape with black. On the next slide, or using animation, show the actual photo. Of course, you can use silhouettes of more people at once.

Prepare well and think about your back-up plan

Winston Churchill said he needed only 10 minutes to prepare a speech that lasts 2 hours, but he needs 2 hours to prepare a 10-minute speech. More effort is needed when you have less time. It is a good idea to memorize at least part of your speech, especially when you have an important presentation. Remember that it can go wrong and it usually will. Back up your presentation on a CD ROM and data stick. If the technology breaks down, have a hard copy of your presentation in your pocket – it can really save the day.

Digital camera at your service

Add pictures to your presentation, because it really makes the difference. Buy a digital camera and start taking pictures of anything you can use to illustrate a certain topic or idea. You can cut and combine photos easily with software – you can put your CEO against different backgrounds.  Just be careful and stay respectful.

Dress up to impress

You can use a costume in order to illustrate your message and your point. Or you can have your assistants dress up. But you must be sure about your audience reaction. A little theatre may go a long way. Just be sure your audience is going to buy into  it.
