4 major mistakes of new entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship is demanding, frustrating and a never-ending challenge. Especially at the beginning. Many problems cause visions to fail in the earliest stages. It is a shame to have to drop the project after all the effort devoted. Instead, think along the line in the Business 2 Community website about the critical errors you should avoid beginning your business:

1. Your mission statement is not clear

You would think it was simple to explain the purpose of your business, but a surprisingly large percentage of start-ups completely ignore the potential dangers lurking behind an undefined mission statement. Therefore, it is not only important what you do, but also why. How you can expect your stakeholder will understand you when you, yourself are not able to explain your goals accurately?

2. You are doing too much

Burnout syndrome, is the "scarecrow" creeping up on every busy person, whether an employee or entrepreneur. You have a vision that you  want to realise, and you are full of energy to invest into your dream. But do you try to do too much? Business is a long distance run not a sprint. At the beginning, focus on one goal or one benefit you can bring, at a time. Likewise, customize your measurement of progress by focusing on one task, then moving on to the next.

3. You do not act

Maybe you know exactly what to do to make your business successful. What you do not know is whether it actually will succeed. Some beginning entrepreneur struggle with the fear of failure of doing something wrong and do nothing, therefore they often fail. In fact, you have to realize that it is more important to finish something than always doing it perfectly.Taking action and developing plans to move on from a failure is vital to your future success.

4. You are not tracking your development

20/20 Hindsight is not useful when starting, doing business or trying to establish a business. Maybe you will regret the mistakes you made in the past, but do you know what, it will be too late.  The past is the past and it is a waste to spend time on it. A lot is happening that must be dealt with and  focusing on the past could cause irreversible damage to the future course of your business. Similarly, present achievements deserve recognition, which improves motivation and engagement of your partners and employees.

Business is not so burdensome if you know not only what you want to achieve, and how. If you stay focused on the current needs and not set too many or too high goals, you have a good chance of succeeding.
