For better results from subordinates, do not underestimate training soft skills

Any manager would probably like to see better business results or higher productivity from their subordinates. Often they try to do this either through financial incentives or hard skills training. Yet it is soft skills training that can enable ambitious workers to leap forward and improve significantly in a short time. What soft skills should you focus on when training subordinates?

Stress management and mental hygiene

Learning how to manage stress, organise your time so as not to break down, and acquiring the basics of mental hygiene all come in handy in a number of situations in both the personal and professional lives of your subordinates. This training should be mandatory for team managers so they have a better understanding of how the human psyche works and do not, for example, make unrealistic demands of subordinates.

Scheduling a meeting with a client, preparing a business proposal, implementing a construction project or inventing new processes are all smaller or larger projects. And they can all be managed in different ways. So training in project management will have a positive effect on the work of more or less any employee.

Decision-making techniques

When you master different decision-making techniques, namely the ability to find the best possible solution, you will be able to use them several times every day. Making good, quick and rational decisions means being more productive and efficient in your daily work.
