You really can achieve your goals

I want to lose weight. I want to learn new things. I want to spend more time with my family ... Especially during the New Year, we set various personal goals but often do not achieve them. Is it not a pity? Probably yes, but our rational is we have lots of more important things to do and cannot do everything.

If you think the same way, you should know that even very busy people can keep their resolutions. They do not need to follow complicated procedures. Careerealism.com points out a few simple steps to help you.

Stop making excuses

Reprogram your brain to think "I can do it if I try." instead of "I can't do it."

Find more reasons

You would like to lose weight to look better, but you are losing motivation. Then you need to find another reason to motivate you - I'll be healthier, I'll have more beautiful skin ...

Concentrate on what you will do, not on what you won't do

Formulate your goals positively. I want to lose weight, so I will eat more healthy food -not "I will eat less unhealthy food". I do not want to just sit at the computer, so I will spend more time outdoors or reading books - not "I will sit at the computer for less time."

Get inspired

Find a person to inspire you to continue towards your goals. It could be someone from your neighbourhood you regularly talk with. Or it could be a photo of someone you admire.

Start writing

Regularly write about your progress in achieving your goal. Keep a private diary or start a public blog. This will help you stay on track because you can see what you've accomplished.

Find an ally

Support each other. Agree on regular meetings at least once a week and monitor how you're doing.

Find some time just for yourself

Every day, find at least a few minutes for yourself and give yourself a small reward. The fact that you're trying to change one thing in your life does not mean that you have to limit yourself in everything else.
