The end of the year is an ideal opportunity for reflection on what we have achieved this year and what direction should we take in the future. If you are still looking for your main theme for 2012, let yourself be inspired by the following tips. They can be used to determine your personal theme as well as a theme of your team or company.

  1. Start with a list of both big and small successes of this year. It will be an inspiration for you when you begin to doubt whether you succeed on your news goals as well.

  2. For each success reciord also what it took to achieve it - specific tools, techniques, human and other resources.

  3. Then write down what you have failed in so far and why it failed. Be as honest as possible to yourself.

  4. Write goals that need to be met to succeed in the next year.

  5. Individual targets should be divided into smaller, achievable tasks.

  6. Go through everything you wrote and summarize it under one phrase that will reflect your theme for next year. It may be a year of deep relationships, adventures or a year when you stop to struggle for something unrealistic.
