Not delegating work

Many managers prefer doing work themselves instead of delegating it to their employees. But if this habit is so strong that it starts limiting you, you should consider whether you are surrounded by the right people, given that you do not trust them that much.

Active procrastination

Many people busy themselves at work with things that are not really productive at all. Time is a valuable commodity that must be used with maximum circumspection. Do not hide behind non-productive work and imagine you are working.

No breaks

Working without any breaks is ultimately counter-productive. According to The Balance, you should take a few minutes' break at least every hour. Your work will then be more effective, concentrated and creative.

Sleep deprivation

Little sleep is another lifestyle disease which sooner or later will manifest itself in your personal and work life. Do not underestimate lack of sleep, and learn to regard sleep as a priority.

Not listening to employees

Every manager can learn a lot from their subordinates, whose initiatives might present a unique point of view on a given issue. But not every manager listens to their employees, which is wrong.

Obsolete technology

Little investment in new technologies and software can eventually have a strong negative impact on the results of the whole business team. Do not lag behind current developments, and do not give competitors the advantage of your using obsolete technology.
