Are your employees really loyal?

The loyalty of employees towards a company does not depend on how long they have worked there, but how you treat them. The same applies to their loyalty towards their immediate superiors. But how do you recognise whether your subordinates are truly loyal, and therefore prepared to give their all for your shared success? Ensure that they behave in the following ways.

1. They treat you as a person, and not their boss

Do your employees know that you are a normal person who wants to help them achieve their professional and personal goals?

2. They also tell you what you don’t want to hear

Do your employees know that you need to hear their genuine opinions?

3. They do not criticise you in public

Do your employees know that criticism is expressed face-to-face?

4. They support your decisions, even if they disagree

Do your employees know that, while they can discuss their opinions openly, as soon as a decision is made, they must support it?

5. They tell you when they want to leave

Do your employees know that it will be difficult for you to replace them, and that they should therefore let you know in advance that they intend to leave?
