When to speed up and slow down in private entrepreneurship

Illustration

Entrepreneurs often struggle with time. They have mostly little time and they would like to do everything as quickly as possible. In some cases, however, they should not rush and in other cases they should not unnecessarily delay their actions. That is why Inc.com brought a practical list of steps entrepreneurs should do quickly or slowly to use their time effectively.

What to do slowly

  • Strategic planning,

  • criticism,

  • judging others,

  • moving tasks among the highest priorities,

  • recruitment,

  • educating employees (not literally "slowly" but steadily).

What to do quickly

  • Dismissing underperforming employees,

  • ending projects that are no longer in the same direction as the development of the company,

  • providing specific feedback,

  • acknowledging own mistakes,

  • promoting employees from within,

  • abandoning what you tried and what did not work.
