In the first part of the article on using blogs to promote start-up companies and projects, we explained how important it is to have a blog and to update it regularly. We learned how to choose topics to write about, as well as why to choose five topics at once in the very beginning. At the end of the first part, we became familiar with the "keyhole principle".

Now you can read the remaining five recommendations which were originally published on the Business 2 Community website.

6. A little humour does not hurt. Despite a great effort to convey the seriousness of your business, a little fun sometimes does not hurt. However, use it in sensibly. ideally at the end of your posts. Humorous commentary at the beginning usually leads to another and another...

7. Read your posts aloud. The ideal way is reading your posts to someone else who will give you feedback and will likely advise you with some of his own tips. Why not publish them in the next article?

8. Use links. Links are a great way to expand the informative functionality of your post for those readers who are interested in finding out more details. Try to make these links a natural part of the article and do not try to overwhelm the reader. Tip: Ideally, 4 links, of which 2 refer to your articles and 2 other sources.

9. Do not forget pictures. Use only those images and photos that can be shared and used commercially. If you have your own images, add the author's name by using the photo editor. If you do not have your own photos, try one of richly supplied stock libraries on the Internet. You will find a range of images free for use. Again, it is worth it to be frugal. Ideally 1-2 images for a shorter article and 3-4 for longer posts.

10. Call them to action. You have finished typing your first post. Is it a relief, right? At the end, there is space for your call to the audience. In our case, it will be: "Do you have any personal experience with writing a blog? Leave a comment."
