Step 1: Ask yourself: "What makes me special?"
As Forbes states, a personal brand must be based on certain personal traits that are uniquely yours. Do not try to be someone else; support and develop your own genuine good characteristics. At the core of your personal brand should be an answer to the question: "How is this person helpful and what benefits do they offer to others?" Emphasise those traits that somehow help the people around you.
Step 2: Show your strengths in whatever you do
The traits of your personal brand should be evident in everything you do, ideally in both your personal and working life. If you want people to regard you as a 100% reliable person, they must be able to depend on you everywhere in every situation. But bear in mind that building your personal brand is a long-term process which will take some time.
Step 3: Promote your personal brand
Do not expect people to notice your new brand themselves and automatically accept it. You must actively advertise it. Share articles on professional networks concerning your expertise, present yourself as a professional in certain fields, point out your managerial skills, self-educate in specific areas, and meticulously work on your reputation as an expert. Never let anybody doubt who you are, what you do and what you personally respect in yourself.
