1. Do what you enjoy and you'll succeed
Passion increases motivation and determination. However, if there's no market you can apply your passion (product, skills) to, do something else. There are some parts of every activity you won't like. However, you should not only enjoy your work but also find satisfaction in it.
2. Only perfectionists can achieve their goals
Perfectionists, in fact, have big problems meeting their goals since they don't consider any way of meeting the goals good enough. The same applies to workaholics who many people mistakenly consider to have highest chances of achieving success. Regular periods of relaxation and more time to think will do more for you.
3. You should always focus on the future
Looking ahead and anticipating possible problems is one thing. Not living your life in the present is, however, something else. Continuously focusing on the future destroys relationships with people around us and makes us feel dissatisfied. Learn to perceive what is happening in the here and now and be grateful for your life in the present.
4. Do what you do best
Only developing your strengths and focusing on only one field is limiting. You're losing opportunities in other activities and disciplines where you can succeed even more. Try to look for new opportunities and develop in as many directions as possible.
5. Focus primarily on yourself
You can't really achieve the greatest success by focusing solely on your path to success. The most successful people help others to get better. That's how they gain the loyalty of others who want to help them in turn.
6. Money brings success and happiness
This is one of the biggest and saddest clichés. If you only measure your life in money, you'll be disappointed.
