Regular breaks
in a regular working environment, breaks and free moments occur spontaneously: a brief chat with a colleague, meeting someone by the coffee machine, or going out for lunch. But at home you need to plan breaks yourself. Take regular breaks and stick to them, no matter what.
Pomodoro Technique
In order to avoid becoming obsessed with one task for several hours on end, which will cause you to lose energy and efficiency, start practising the Pomodoro Technique. When you begin working on a task, set an alarm for 25 minutes ahead. Once this time has elapsed, take a five-minute break. Then repeat the process.
Dedicated working place
Physically separate your work space and living space. Ideally, you should have a room reserved for work, namely an office. But if you are unable to do this and have to work, say, at your dining table, at least always modify the physical setting. At the end of each working day, remove your laptop, monitor, keyboard etc. from the table, and readjust the space so that it is again non-working.
Separating work from private life
Generally speaking, you should always maintain a strict division between your work and your private life. Decide in advance when you want your working day to end and at that time turn off your laptop and no longer do anything work-related.
