Headhunters are very receptive to the recommendations of their acquaintances and influential people in the field. That is why you should maintain good relationships with other people in your field. Once an interesting position is open, these people may personally recommend you. If still no one calls you, try to find an executive recruiter in your area yourself. Search for what you have in common, such as a university, a person, an opinion or a hobby. Then contact the recruiter - by e-mail rather than by phone.
