The secret of success lies in something else

Geoffrey James of Inc.com believes that lifelong success is only a matter of regular muscle strengthening of a single emotional muscle: gratitude.

People with a sense of gratitude constantly see the positives of their life and they can enjoy it. They naturally seek further success, and when something goes wrong, they are grateful for the new lesson.

People without a sense of gratitude are never really satisfied. If they succeed, they can not enjoy it. Failure discourages them from further attempts.

To be successful, therefore, you should have a sense of gratitude. Fortunately, this feeling can be learned.

Exercise before bedtime

The best time to strengthen the gratitude muscle is in the evening before falling asleep. Try to note everything from the past day that led to positive emotions, or whatever pleased the people around you. This can program your brain to perceive the past day more positively. It directs your attention to everything that went well. With this training, you will fall asleep faster and your sleep will be more refreshing.

Reprogramming the brain

By this brain exerciese, you are programming your brain to better perceive stimuli for which you can be grateful. You will find that even if you had a "bad day," many things happened for which you can be grateful. You will learn to appreciate success more and fell less the bitterness of failure.

The more you practice, the stronger the effect. Your feelings of gratitude will be intense and that attracts more success and more successful people. Perhaps you will find that you thank people more. It makes you feel good and it makes them feel that way, too.

Eventually you will see that the effect of this exercise is incredible.
