  1. If possible, try to practice in front of more people.
  2. Prepare rhetorical questions, they create a more convincing impression. The word "we" establishes a feeling of connection with the audience.
  3. Stand up straight with your head held high. It will make you look confident and you will also feel that way. Too much modesty is not good. But beware: If you'll try to look too smart, it can happen that you'll actually look like a fool.
  4. Use gestures to support your speech. Any position of hands with palms down enhance the impression of power.
  5. The style of presentation is more important than its content. People love an impressive speech and prefer self-confidence to actual knowledge: Body language and the tone of presentation are more important than the words.
  6. Your look matters. You create an impression with the first seconds just based on your looks. We like people who seem attractive. To support your attractiveness immediately, just smile. And one more point: your clothes affects your acting.
  7. Expect that people will like you, and you increase the chances that they will. Are you feeling stressed? Ladies, have a cup of coffee. Gentlemen - don't.
  8. Just before the presentation, imagine someone who can present really well. Such a concept as well as any other positive thought can improve your performance.
  9. An interesting finding in the end: A small obscene remark at the beginning or the end of a presentation increases persuasiveness significantly and has no effect on credibility of the speaker.
  10. Are you still nervous? Pretend you're not. After a while it will actually happen and your nervousness disappears.
